Hi Rob, I see you have very colourful posters who you do not remove..nice to see freedom of speech is allowed on some forums even if we do not agree with each other. Although I think bad language is uncalled for. I live in Spain and enjoy every moment. I see your posts are from 2008 and 2009 has indeed brought us Obama to power. So far so good….am waiting to hear your comments Rob as promised.

I knew Obama’s ethnic background is full of funny twists and turns but you, my friend, are muddying the waters even further by turning him into an Irishman! As to your comment, the one guarantee we have that Obama isn’t going to turn out like JFK is that we live in an entirely different world. The Cold War is over, the US is already involved in several hot wars which he would like to end and yesterday’s enemies have become today’s friends (Vietnam). I’ve absolutely nothing against the idea of a woman president of the USA….but Hillary?! You say ANY woman would do, well how about Paris Hilton or Britney Spears?

Yes, Spain was great, Not easy, though, to put the nose to the grindstone again. I think any politician seeking high office will tell you that what the country needs is change. Obama has interesting ideas I’m sure, but his contest with Hillary Clinton isn’t really the time and place for going into detail. That will come if and when Obama secures the Democratic nomination and his target becomes John McCain and eight years of Republican misrule.

My problem with Obama is that he keeps saying he is in favour of “change”. Change to what, I wonder. He is not really too specific about that for most of the time.

The above should not be construed as if I am in favour of Clinton, or for that matter, McCain.

What about the Bay of Pigs or Viet Nam ?? I think it’s time for a woman – any woman ! Here in Canada we live too close to the US (65 miles from my home in Waterloo:) They all have firearms and bristle with Nukes abd crazy religious freaks ! Ugh !

I totally agree with Greene. Try imagining Hillary having a rough day, and in a bad mood. Scary. She reminds me of my meanest teacher… scolding me because she enjoys being the boss. No, No, No! She’s a DINO: Democrat In Name Only.

The White House is owned by the American public, not the Clintons. And John McCain is the other Bush Twin. I’ll be voting for Obama.
